Since his swearing in, he has been practicing general law with an emphasis on civil litigation, more particularly those involved in serious motor vehicle accidents, disputes in contractual matters,. He also represents several financial institutions.
Gary has previously appeared before all levels of court in New Brunswick as well as before the Supreme Court of Canada. He was an adjudicator for the land registration system. He is an arbitrator appointed under the Police Act and regulations on the Code of Professional Conduct – Police Act.
Gary is a member of the Madawaska Bar, a member of the New Brunswick Bar and the Canadian Bar Association.
He was, and still is, involved in various committees of the Law Society of New Brunswick. Also, he has long been a volunteer and director of several charitable organizations such as Scouts and Guides, the Bob-Fife Foundation and the Order of Nurses of Victoria.
Gary is president of the Mental Health Tribunal for the health authority in Edmundston. He is an arbitrator appointed to rule on disciplinary matters in accordance with the Police Act and the regulations relating to the code of ethics – Police Act.
Gary is a Queen’s Counselor and has over 40 years of experience in private practice.
