An alumnus of the Université de Moncton, she completed her law degree in 1996 to pursue higher education at the Free University of Brussels, in Belgium, where she received a Diploma of Advanced Studies in comparative law with distinction in 1997.
She has practiced law in Edmundston since 1999 in the fields of civil litigation, more particularly personal injury, as well as in the fields of insurance law, real estate, bankruptcy and law of wills and estates. She has already appeared before several levels of the New Brunswick Court.
Sonia is a member of the following associations: Canadian Bar Association, Association of French-speaking Jurists of New Brunswick, Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, Barreau du Nouveau-Brunswick and Barreau du Madawaska.
